What is Beta Alanine Powder?

Beta Alanine from THE PROTEIN WORKS™ are part of the Amino Acid Family. When working out our muscles produce lactic acid as a by-product of creating energy, and as many of you I’m sure are aware, lactic acid build up, can give you that dreaded painful muscle spasm called cramp. Nobody enjoys that! This is where this unique Amino Acid steps in.

Beta-Alanine is the building block of carnosine, a molecule that helps buffer acid in muscles during exercise. Without Beta Alanine our body has a limited amount of carnosine available.
